Summary of Position Tower's Information Technology Architect - M365 is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 solutions to enhance collaboration, security, and business productivity within the organization. The M365 Architect will work closely with ITS leadership, Information Security, and business stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that align with organizational goals, improve user experience, and ensure the efficient operation of our cloud-based environment. This position is responsible for solving complex challenges, driving digital transformation, and enabling teams to maximize the value of Microsoft 365.The role will also support making information available through solutions that are safe from internal and external threats, reliable, and supportive of Tower's business objectives. Success is achieved through a strong focus on service delivery that recognizes and values the need for user acceptance on an equal footing with technological outcomes. Principal Accountabilities and Functions Develop and implement M365 solutions that align with our business and IT strategies. Ensure M365 security, governance, and compliance policies meet internal standards and regulatory requirements. Lead M365 deployments, migrations, and enhancements to maximize efficiency and user experience. Utilize PowerShell, Power Automate, and other tools to streamline processes and improve service delivery. Partner with ITS, InfoSec teams and business units to enhance M365 adoption and support ongoing initiatives. Continuously assess system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements. Define and maintain an M365 roadmap that supports business goals and emerging Microsoft technologies Required Qualifications Bachelors or Master's degree in Information Systems or related field with seven years relevant work experience. 3+ years focused on Microsoft 365 architecture and administration. Equivalent combination of education and experience Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, and M365 security frameworks. Hands-on experience with MFA, Conditional Access, DLP, Defender for Endpoint and Office 365. Proficiency in PowerShell for administration and automation. Experience with transitioning from on-premises (Exchange, SharePoint, File Shares) to M365. Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, Security Administrator, or equivalent. Experience documenting complex systems, use cases, and process flows with common tools such as Visio, and other products This role requires deep expertise in M365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, along with a strong focus on security, compliance, and automation. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and stakeholder management. Communication: Ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical users at all organizational levels Ability to design and implement data models for efficient data storage and retrieval. ' Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex technical issues. Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders from different departments. Ability to design and implement robust and scalable IT systems. Ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with business goals. Ability to adapt to changing technologies and business needs. Ability to work effectively with other teams and stakeholders. Has knowledge of and adheres to credit union policies and procedures and all regulations related to the bank Secrecy Act, the USA Patriot Act and OFAC. Working Conditions Ability to work the hours needed which may extend beyond the defined work schedule when operating conditions dictate. Occasional lifting from floor, as well as table height, and transporting moderately heavy (up to 50 lbs.) objects, such as computers and peripherals, with or without assistance, in compliance with ADA Ability to travel, in compliance with ADA, directly to all TFCU facilities and designated sponsor locations as needed
