Job Title: Power Platform Architect Duration: 12 Months Location: Trenton, NJ Interview: One Onsite Round Employment Type: Full time Worksite Flexibility: Hybrid Note: Only candidates who are willing to attend one onsite interview in Trenton NJ 10+ years in IT with experience in developing and maintaining custom business applications-Define and implement Power Platform architecture and strategy, including model-driven apps (MDA), canvas apps, Power Pages, Power BI, and Power Automate workflows Job Description: The Power Platform Architect will design and implement secure, scalable solutions on Microsoft Power Platform, emphasizing model-driven apps, integration infrastructure, and hands-on C# development-while establishing governance, ALM, and CI/CD best practices. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power Platform Architect to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a long -term contract position. What You'll Do Define and implement Power Platform architecture and strategy, including model-driven apps (MDA), canvas apps, Power Pages, Power BI, and Power Automate workflows Establish solutioning patterns, reference architectures, and reusable components aligned with client priorities Drive API-first integration using Dataverse, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, API Management), and external systems Implement and enforce governance, security, and compliance standards (environment strategy, DLP policies, RBAC, conditional access) Create governance artifacts and lead architecture reviews Own ALM and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and code quality/security scanning Oversee release management, versioning, rollback strategies, and production cutovers Provide technical leadership across the SDLC: planning, estimation, design, development, testing, performance tuning, and maintenance Provide Hands-on development in C# for custom components and integrations Design and manage integration infrastructure for Power Platform, ensuring secure and scalable connectivity What You'll Need Required: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or 15+ years of relevant experience 10+ years in IT with experience in developing and maintaining custom business applications 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role guiding technical staff Strong written and oral communication skills Deep expertise in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps-canvas/model-driven, Power Pages, Power Automate, Power BI) and Dataverse Hands-on experience developing or leading enterprise web applications Prior experience managing or supporting systems with web applications in .NET or Java environments Working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (REST/SOAP) and endpoint security (APIM, OIDC) Familiarity with RDBMS (DB2, Oracle, Postgres, or SQL Server) Experience with load/performance testing Desired: Experience designing environment strategy, DLP policies, and governance for Power Platform Proficiency with CI/CD and automated deployments using Azure DevOps and Git Experience with code quality/security scanning and remediation workflows Integration experience with Azure services and external APIs Background in public sector or healthcare domains with familiarity in PHI/PII safeguards Strong experience with model-driven app development and integration infrastructure for Power Platform Physical Demands Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
