The OpportunityAs the Director of Nursing - Emergency Room, you will be the driving force behind our nursing services. You'll report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and lead a team of talented professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety are met. Key Responsibilities Hold an active and current registered nurse license in the state of Texas (Or compact state license). Showcase outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrate proven leadership abilities and a deep understanding of hospital operations. Serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession. Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices across multiple units. Take on 24/7 responsibility for your assigned areas. Collaborate with the CNO to uphold the highest quality, safety, and appropriateness of nursing care. Ensure the clinical staff's competency and manage resources effectively for patient care. Qualifications Education: Required: Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN. Preferred: MSN or masters in a healthcare-related field. Experience: Required: 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position. Certifications: Required: Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice the profession as required by Texas law and regulations; CPR certification.
