Job Description

Title: Senior Web Developer Reports to: Web Development Manager Status: Full-time FLSA: Non-exempt Internal Application Deadline: 2/27/2026 at 4:30PM CSTSummary Design, develop, test, and deploy modern web applications and integrations using React, Node.js, and Express. Work on both customer-facing and internal manufacturing systems, taking ownership of projects from requirements analysis through production deployment. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutions in a fast-paced B2B manufacturing environment. Principle Duties & Responsibilities Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements. Develop and maintain web applications using React frontend and Node.js/Express backend in our monorepo architecture. Build and maintain integrations with SQL databases, REST APIs, and manufacturing systems. Take ownership of features and projects with minimal supervision, from initial analysis through deployment and support. Collaborate with business analysts on requirements and engage directly with stakeholders as needed for technical clarification. Analyze business workflows and translate them into technical solutions that solve real operational problems. Participate in code reviews and contribute to team technical standards and documentation. Balance strategic project work with support tickets and urgent production issues in a highly reactive environment. Maintain and document existing applications while contributing to modernization efforts. Protect operations by keeping information confidential. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Strong proficiency with React for building modern, responsive web interfaces. Solid experience with Node.js and Express for building backend services and APIs. Working knowledge of SQL databases and ability to write efficient queries. Experience with REST APIs and integrating third-party services. Ability to effectively utilize (writing, speaking, reading) the English language. Ability to work independently and own projects from concept through deployment with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-technical business stakeholders. Comfort working in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven manufacturing environment where priorities shift. Ability to understand business processes and fill in requirements gaps through questioning and analysis. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business teams. Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or B2B enterprise environments preferred. Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker containerization preferred. Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows preferred. Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines preferred. Background in both customer-facing and internal business applications preferred. Experience working with legacy systems and contributing to modernization efforts preferred. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position. May be required to work some overtime. Working Conditions: Normal office environment with potential for hybrid remote work (2-3 days per week) Normal manufacturing environment. May be some exposure to vibration s, noise and chemical odors. Occasional visits to manufacturing floor may be required for system integration or troubleshooting.
