Position Summary The Manufacturing Planning & APS Implementation Lead is responsible for transforming our production planning process from manual spreadsheets to a fully optimized Infor Syteline 10 APS environment. This role drives the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our planning and scheduling functions across the plant. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, a results-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead change across teams. This position requires someone who takes initiative, works independently, and has the confidence to challenge existing processes while implementing effective system-based solutions. The Lead will ensure accurate data, build reliable schedules, improve capacity visibility, and strengthen overall production execution through a modern, APS-driven planning approach. Essential Functions • APS Transformation & System LeadershipLead the full transition from manual planning tools (Excel, shared files, worksheets) to a fully utilized Infor Syteline 10 APS planning module. Configure APS, optimize parameters, and develop scheduling logic aligned to business needs. Identify and solve system constraints, data gaps, and process bottlenecks. Create and implement standard work for APS-driven planning and scheduling. • Production Planning & Shop Floor OptimizationDevelop and maintain production schedules that drive output, minimize downtime, and improve flow. Work directly with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues and keep plans on track. Analyze capacity, labor, and machine availability to support realistic and efficient planning. Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and throughput. • Change LeadershipChampion the transition from manual processes to automated planning-bring teams along, communicate expectations, and reinforce new behaviors. Train and influence team members at all levels to adopt APS-driven processes. Work as an internal consultant, challenging the status quo and steering the organization toward best practices. • Data & AccuracyEnsure BOMs, routings, cycle times, lead times, and planning parameters are accurate and optimized for APS. Maintain high data integrity standards while moving quickly to implement improvements. Performs other duties and participates in Company initiatives as assigned. Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be capable of performing each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 3-7 years of experience in manufacturing production planning, scheduling, operations, or related roles. Hands-on experience working with Infor Syteline 10 APS or another advanced planning/scheduling system. Demonstrated ability to lead process changes, drive adoption of new tools, and influence cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify constraints, interpret data, and take decisive action. Proven self-starter with an ownership mentality, capable of working independently with minimal oversight. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on accuracy and data integrity. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and guide teams through transition. Solid understanding of BOMs, routings, capacity planning, material flow, and shop floor operations. Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Working ConditionsEnvironmental Normal manufacturing working environment with a seat in an office environment. Physical/Mental Frequent walking and standing in the ordinary course of duties on the shop floor. Periodic lifting of moderate weights.
