Aircraft Strip and Plastic Media Blast TechnicianSchedule: 1st or 2nd Shift Available Start Date: March 9, 2026 Assignment Length: 6 Month Contract Position Overview SkyBridge Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Strip and Plastic Media Blast Technician to support aircraft surface preparation and coating removal operations. This role is responsible for removing old paint, coatings, and corrosion from aircraft surfaces using chemical and mechanical stripping methods in preparation for refinishing and maintenance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with aircraft stripping and media blasting processes and is comfortable working in a safety-driven, regulated aviation environment. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft stripping using chemical and mechanical methods Remove paint, coatings, and corrosion from aircraft surfaces using chemical strippers, sanding, or abrasive blasting Mask and protect sensitive aircraft areas prior to stripping operations Apply approved stripping agents and monitor removal process Operate power washing equipment to clean and prepare surfaces Prepare metal surfaces for repainting and refinishing Operate powered lifts including snorkel and scissor lifts Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental regulations Follow all safety, PPE, and respirator requirements Shift Information Must be able to work either shift 1st Shift: 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM Minimum Qualifications Must have aircraft paint stripping or media blasting experience Must have paint and chemical stripping experience Must have previous experience operating a snorkel or scissor lift Must be able to wear a respirator Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift as assigned Must be able to start March 9, 2026
