Job Summary The Behavioral Technician will provide a range of behavioral supports to students within the Mariposa County Unified School District/County Office of Education. The Technician will provide assessments, develop individual behavior plans; provide training and consultation to staff, families, and caregivers, attend team meetings, collect and monitor data, and collaborate with school, District staff, and outside agencies as appropriate. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Experience: One year of experience working directly with students and providing behavioral support. Additional experience/training specific to behavior management or applied behavior analysis is preferred. Education: Associate's degree or meeting MCUSD's requirements for being an instructional aide (NCLB - see below). Bachelor's/Master's degree from an accredited university and/or college with major coursework in clinical social work, psychology, or counseling, or a closely related field preferred. Licenses: Valid California Driver's License. Certification or Licensure for Board Certified Behavior Specialist or School Psychologist preferred. Pre-Employment Clearance: FBI/DOJ Fingerprint Background Clearance Pre-employment Physical Test Required. This position is part of the Classified Employee Unit at MCUSD/MCOE and will be placed depending on experience on the Classified Employee Salary schedule. Requirements / QualificationsComments and Other Information This position is a grant-funded position to serve in our Student Support Services Department for 7.0 hours/day for 202 days a year and the continuation of this positions is contingent on funding.
