Mechanical Technician - Level IV

I am a Recruiter with The Fountain Group. We are a national staffing firm and are currently seeking a Mechanical Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Whitakers, NCDetails for the position are as follows: Job Description: Pay $25-45/hr based on your experience 5-month assignment possibility to extend based on performance and budget 6pm-6am (3rd shift) (5 Days one week, 2 Days following week) Cummins in Whitakers, NC manufactures Diesel Engines for industrial machinery, mining equipment, marine vessels and power generation This position requires hands-on experience and a strong willingness to learn, particularly in the areas of welding, chains/rollers, and the replacement and rebuilding of drives, pumps, and motors. The ideal candidate should have a background in welding techniques and be comfortable working with various mechanical components, including chains and rollers, to ensure smooth operations. You should also be experienced in troubleshooting, replacing, and rebuilding drives, pumps, and motors, which are crucial for maintaining equipment functionality. A proactive approach is essential, as this role demands drive and initiative to effectively tackle challenges and improve systems. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly on the job, adapting to new technologies and methods. This hands-on role requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
