Stand Manager - Kane County Concessions

The Kane County Cougars are hiring Stand Managers to lead day-to-day operations at our concession stands during home games and special events. This role is ideal for individuals with leadership experience in food service or customer-facing roles who are passionate about teamwork, efficiency, and delivering excellent guest service. As a Stand Manager, you'll be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining inventory levels-all while helping fans enjoy a top-notch ballpark experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Supervise and lead a team of concession stand employees (cashiers, cooks, runners, etc.) Oversee stand setup, food prep, and break down before and after events. Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to POS procedures. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards. Train and coach team members to uphold high-quality service and operational efficiency. Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and report supply needs to Concessions Manager. Resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally. Communicate with upper management and kitchen staff to ensure smooth stand operations. Other duties as assigned. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Previous experience in food service, concessions, or retail management strongly preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to stay calm and organized in high-volume, fast-paced environments. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; bending, reaching, and lifting; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.
