Powering Reliability Through Quality Leadership! MEPPI's Critical Power Solutions Division (CPSD) is seeking an experienced Principal Quality Engineer to provide technical consultation and leadership in the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Division's Quality Management System (QMS). In this senior technical role, you will lead preventative, corrective, and continuous improvement initiatives, serve as a primary quality point of contact for customers and suppliers, and ensure the highest standards of product quality and reliability. What You'll DoLead the Quality Management System: Oversee the planning, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Division's Quality Management System (QMS), driving corrective actions and compliance initiatives to enhance quality performance. Serve as Quality Technical Authority: Act as the primary quality and engineering expert for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and ancillary devices, representing CPSD to customers and MELCO. Drive Continuous Improvement: Lead preventative, corrective, and reliability improvement projects, developing project plans, schedules, assignments, and measurable outcomes. Provide Engineering & Quality Leadership: Deliver quality-related product and technology training; provide hands-on technical coaching and consultation across the Division. Support Reliability & Life Testing: Assist with and provide input into reliability and life testing of materials, components, subsystems, and UPS systems. Develop Quality Documentation: Lead the creation and maintenance of quality documentation including QSPs, SOPs, work instructions, and related standards. Collaborate with Supply Chain & Suppliers: Partner with Supply Chain to resolve supplier quality issues, track supplier quality performance, and conduct supplier audits. Support Product & Process Development: Participate in and consult on major product and process development programs to ensure quality and reliability requirements are met. Conduct Engineering Analysis: Perform comprehensive engineering and data analysis to verify products and components meet quality, reliability, and performance expectations. Report & Communicate Results: Prepare and present quality metrics, project updates, and analysis reports to management. Promote a Culture of Quality: Further CPSD's professional image by working collaboratively with internal departments, customers, and external partners. Champion Policies & Compliance: Maintain thorough knowledge of MEPPI's Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies and effectively communicate their importance across the organization. What You BringEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics Engineering Minimum of 10 years of quality engineering experience, or equivalent education and experience Quality & Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 Advanced understanding of statistics, data analysis, and quality methodologies Formal training in process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings and documentation Skills & Attributes: Advanced interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels Technology Proficiency: Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office, statistical software, and ERP/MRP systems Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as required What's in It for You?
