Automotive Service Technician

Buss Ford has been serving the McHenry, Crystal Lake, Fox Lake and Chicagoland areas for more than 90 years.We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician to join our growing team! The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and willingness to grow. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done. We're looking for anyone with 1+ year of main shop experience. We will offer the right training for you to grow in your career.Benefits: Health, Medical and Dental401K Plan with matchPaid time off and vacationGrowth opportunitiesEmployee vehicle purchase plansFamily owned and operatedLong term job security Responsibilities: Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealershipTest-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipmentDiagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairsExecute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications Qualifications: 1+ years of Service Technician experience required We appreciate Lube Tech experience, but need to see main shop experience.
