ABR Staffing is recruiting Maintenance Assistant for one of our partner companies in the agricultural industry in Friesland, WI. The Maintenance Assistant ins in charge of parts and supplies for equipment and building repairs, working with vendors to locate special items and assisting Techs when needed. This is a direct hire first shift role. The base pay is $20 an hour. It is ideal for someone with some mechanical background as well as administrative experience. Essential Job Functions: • Record and keep accurate records of parts used on equipment and buildings with CMMS program • Handle emergency purchasing and upkeep requests • Keep inventory of maintenance supplies, equipment and report needs to the Manager • Work with and maintain relationships with contracted vendors and Purchasing Agent • Receive work order, setting out determined parts for equipment services needed to perform necessary maintenance and repair work • Perform semi-annual and routine inventory of parts • Comply with all safety and health regulations • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned Required Skills and Abilities: • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • Ability to multi-task & stay organized • Strong problem-solving skills • Effective communication skills • Motivated and efficient worker • Self-motivated and able to function as part of a team • Ability to utilize Human Resource Information System (HRIS) software • Valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle record Education/Skills/Knowledge Required: • High school diploma or GED • Knowledge of basic maintenance functions • Experience with CMMS a plus Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods standing and walking • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to assist maintenance technicians • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds • Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas • Exposure to airborne particles ABR Employment Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
