School Delivery Driver

The School Delivery Driver is responsible for handling the daily delivery and inventory management of all prepared food for Simply Plated school food service related contracts. About Simply Plated Catering Simply Plated is a full service catering and meal delivery company in Columbus, Ohio Description The School Delivery Driver is responsible for overseeing the operations and delivery of prepared food for all Simply Plated school food service related contracts. This position manages the delivery of all contracted meals, ensures accuracy of outgoing orders, oversees the onsite inventory for all contracted sites, tracks all service vehicle maintenance. Roles & Responsibilities: Ensure all packaged school orders are accurately labeled for delivery. Responsible for delivering all contracted meal orders to designated schools on-time daily. Complete onsite inventory tracking for all contracted school sites in collaboration with the Catering Operations Manager. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations (e.g., ServSafe standards). Monitor food handling and sanitation procedures when delivering orders to contracted schools. Maintain logs and reports for food temperatures, truck cleaning schedules, and safety checks. Assist Catering Operations team with additional catering deliveries and drop-off set-ups when needed. A background check will be required for this position Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; A good driving record and driving history is required 1-3 years of experience in food service and/or as a delivery driver Valid ServSafe or food handler certification (or ability to obtain). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. Ability to work occasional early morning delivery shifts when needed Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a delivery driver for a restaurant or caterer. Strong attention to operational and administrative detail Our Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to push up to 50 pounds Salary $17 - $19 per hour
