Network Engineer II - Onsite | $90k-$120k We're seeking a skilled Network Engineer II to join a highgrowth, qualitydriven organization with a strong reputation for stability and excellence. This is a fulltime, onsite position based in Modesto, CA. During peak operational periods (midJuly through late September), the role requires a 6dayperweek schedule. Offseason hours are typically Monday-Friday, approximately 7am-5pm. What You'll Do As a Network Engineer II, you'll play a key role in supporting and enhancing a complex enterprise network spanning onprem and cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include: Network Operations & Engineering Deploy, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems Manage VLANs, IP addressing, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF), and core services (DNS, DHCP, NTP) Support hybrid cloud networking (Azure/AWS): VNets, VPN gateways, sitetosite connectivity Maintain network diagrams, documentation, and accurate configuration records Monitoring & Troubleshooting Monitor performance and diagnose issues using SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, and similar tools Provide Tier 2/3 support on escalated network incidents Maintain redundancy, high availability, and failover capabilities Support spanning tree, LACP, policy-based forwarding, and wireless security protocols Security & Reliability Implement firewall rules, access controls, segmentation, and IDS/IPS Support patching, firmware updates, and security baselines Participate in disaster recovery planning Follow structured changemanagement procedures Collaboration & Leadership Mentor junior network staff members Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operations teams Support integration and documentation of OT (Operational Technology) network environments What We're Looking For Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking, IT, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience Proficiency with HP Aruba, Cisco, or Palo Alto technologies Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, subnetting, routing, and wireless networks Experience supporting firewall administration and cloud/hybrid network environments Preferred Qualifications Certifications: CCNA, ACNP, Network+, Fortinet NSE, Azure Network Engineer Associate Experience with SDWAN, SASE, Zero Trust Familiarity with automation (Ansible, Python) Exposure to OT/industrial network environments Strong documentation and communication skills Why This Opportunity Stands Out Competitive salary: $90,000 - $120,000 Performancebased bonus Robust benefits package covering medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k PTO, holidays, development programs, and tuition reimbursement Work with a stable, nationally recognized organization known for quality Join a supportive technical team with opportunities to mentor and grow Ready to Apply?
