About the job Veterinarian - Cardiologist Veterinarian - Cardiologist Chattanooga, Tennessee We are seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Cardiologist to join a growing emergency and specialty hospital. This is a rare opportunity to build and launch a cardiology service from the ground up, with the autonomy and resources to shape protocols, select equipment, and develop a team aligned with your vision for cardiology excellence. Both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered. Role Highlights Build and lead a cardiology department from inception Establish clinical protocols and select advanced cardiology equipment Collaborate with ER and specialty teams on complex cases Mentor and support skilled technical and support staff Facility & Resources On-site CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy Advanced equipment, including Snyder oxygen cages, LigaSure, PoliPhase sealant, GIA stapler, and transfusion capabilities Chemotherapy and immunotherapy services Isolation ward for infectious disease cases Candidate Profile Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent Board-certified or residency-trained in Cardiology Passion for outstanding medicine and team development Strong communication and leadership skills Motivated to grow and expand a cardiology service within a dynamic ER/Specialty hospital Compensation & Benefits Base salary $200,000-$250,000 + 25% production (negotiable, no negative accrual) $75,000 sign-on bonus $10,000 relocation assistance 401(k) with 2% company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid parental leave and paid time off CE allowance: $5,000 annually + 4 CE PTO days for board-certified specialists 100% coverage of PLIT, DEA, and state licensure fees No state income tax Strong emphasis on work-life balance Full autonomy over the cardiology service
