How to Qualify as a CNC Machinist Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or CNC Programmer in a manufacturing setting Proficiency in G-code and CAD/CAM software Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, materials, and GD&T Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machines Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset Ability to work independently and within a team Associate's degree or trade certification in machining, manufacturing technology, or equivalent experience Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is a plus Whats Expected Program, modify, and optimize CNC machines (mills, lathes, and multi-axis) using CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidCAM) Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering models to determine tooling, setups, and machining operations Set up and troubleshoot machines during program rollout and initial runs Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for optimal performance and finish Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality teams to refine processes and ensure high-precision production Conduct first article inspections and make necessary adjustments Maintain organized program libraries and documentation for repeatability Drive continuous improvement efforts and implement process enhancements The Crew Benefits Good weekly pay that hits like clockwork.
