Machinist

HiFyve is hiring a Machinist in the Manufacturing industry in Plymouth, MN!Pay Rate: $32-$38/hr Location: Plymouth, MN Shift: Day Shift 6:30 am to 3 pm Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate complex CNC machines, including horizontal/vertical milling and mill/turn machines with multi-axis, twin spindles, and twin turrets Operate machines of a complex nature with little to no supervision Edit machine programs as needed Select proper tooling for machining sequences Determine machining processes, feeds, and speeds Maintain setup sheets for new parts or design changes Instruct and mentor less skilled machinists and operators Perform finishing work such as deburring and sanding Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance Maintain a clean and safe work environment Demonstrate company core values Education Requirements: Associate or technical degree in Machining with 5-7 years of experience on complex equipment OR 8-10 years of experience with complex machining equipment OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High proficiency in CNC setup and operation Strong knowledge of tooling, machining sequences, speeds, and feeds Advanced shop math skills Thorough understanding of part inspection methods Ability to train and instruct other machinists Programming experience is a plus but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent use of hands and arms for handling tools and materials Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally Visual acuity including close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
