Manual Lathe Operator

Job Full Description A manufacturing company in Struthers is looking for an eperienced Manual Machinist to join their team! Responsibilities: Machine electric motor armature shafts, including tapering and threading Read and interpret mechanical drawings to produce parts with precise tolerances Set up and operate various machines, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to produce components to specifications Perform threading operations using lathes and milling machines Identify and understand steel types, properties, and characteristics to determine appropriate machining processes Complete machining reports and maintain accurate paperwork Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards Assist with general laborer duties and provide support to the Brake Division as required Minimum of 1 year of machining experience (preferred) Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensional tolerances Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and drill presses Knowledge of steel properties and machining techniques Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and forklifts (certification preferred) Shift: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Pay Rate: $23-$25/hour based on experience/certifications If you are interested in this position, please call Express Employment Professionals at 330-333-7031 Youngstown, OH 2974 53 State St. Unit C Struthers, OH 44471
