Senior Systems & Cybersecurity Engineer

Position Title: Sr. Systems & Cybersecurity Engineer Location: Falls Church, VA Assignment Type: 1 month contract Pay Rate: $90 / Hour Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday - Friday Benefits: This position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Position Overview Addison Group is seeking a highly knowledgeable and hands-on Senior Systems & Cybersecurity Engineer with deep expertise in secure enterprise infrastructure environments to support our client to meet CMMC compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in Microsoft server ecosystems, virtualization, cybersecurity frameworks (including CMMC), network security, and enterprise systems integration. This role requires strong architectural, operational, and security capabilities across on-prem infrastructure, compliance-driven environments, and high-availability enterprise systems. Key ResponsibilitiesCybersecurity & Compliance Lead and support CMMC compliance initiatives (implementation, documentation, controls validation). Design and manage enterprise cybersecurity programs aligned with NIST and CMMC frameworks. Oversee vulnerability scanning, remediation planning, and risk mitigation. Administer and optimize SIEM platforms for monitoring, alerting, and incident response. Manage enterprise endpoint protection solutions. Implement and manage MFA solutions (DUO preferred). Secure configuration and management of sFTP systems. Infrastructure & Systems Administration Architect and manage on-premises infrastructure using Hyper-V. Deploy, maintain, and secure Windows Server 2025 environments. Administer and troubleshoot: Active Directory (AD) Group Policy DNS Certificate Authority (PKI / CA) Configure and maintain Microsoft Exchange (on-prem or hybrid). Implement and manage redundancy and failover solutions for critical services. Oversee enterprise storage systems and capacity planning. Configure and maintain Backup System. Networking & Security Advanced configuration and management of Cisco firewalls (CCNA or CCNP prefer). Design and maintain secure network architecture. Configure and secure IIS web servers. Support and maintain enterprise SQL Server environments. Required Qualifications 7+ years of enterprise systems engineering experience. Demonstrated experience supporting C MMC-compliant environments. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server ecosystems. Strong hands-on experience with Hyper-V virtualization. Advanced network security experience including Cisco firewall configuration. Experience implementing high-availability and disaster recovery solutions. Strong understanding of PKI, MFA, SIEM, and endpoint security systems. Ability to independently architect, deploy, and secure enterprise environments. Preferred Certifications CCNA (or CCNP prefer.)
