You would be tentatively working (3) 12-hour shifts per week and/or as needed to fill vacancies. As a Dietary Aid, you will perform a variety of duties in food service, meal delivery, ware washing, and general cleaning according to established standards, with the goals of providing high quality food service and achieving a positive dietary image in the perception of the patient, employee, and community. Essential Functions: Moves throughout the facility and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver dietary services as assigned. Performs the manual and administrative responsibilities of this position according to hospital and department policy and procedure. Demonstrates working knowledge of patient diets and understands basic food service regulations. Works cooperatively with unit staff and ancillary departments. Demonstrates commitment to Pomerene Hospital's Values. Delivers service that builds customer satisfaction. Actively supports and encourages Primary Support Person (PSP) / Family involvement in patient's care, with consent of patient. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED - Required. 1-3 Years Experience as a Cook/Restaurant Worker in a Hospitality/Food Service Setting- Preferred. Serve Safe Certification- Preferred.
