Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists including compounded medications and IV infusions. Assist with medication dispensing for home infusion patients utilizing appropriate software systems. Maintain aseptic techniques during sterile compounding processes to ensure patient safety in IV infusion and critical care environments. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions, coordinating medication administration schedules, and supporting patient care initiatives. Manage inventory control, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and proper storage of pharmaceuticals in home infusion settings. Support pharmacy operations by entering data into electronic health records (EHR), preparing medication labels, and assisting with medication reconciliation processes. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and optimal patient outcomes in acute care or hospital settings. Requirements Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program; active state registration or licensure as required. Proven pharmacy technician experience, particularly within home infusion pharmacy or hospital environments. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and aseptic techniques used in sterile compounding. Background working with IV infusions is highly preferred. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools. Excellent communication skills focused on patient service and interdisciplinary teamwork.
