FTE: 0.001000 Standard Hours: 0.01 Shift: Shift 1 Shift Details: Holidays: Weekends: Job Summary: Responsible for scheduling all procedures and surgeries. Responsible for coordinating, collating, and organizing documentation required in advance of the RN Preadmission Assessment. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: One year of related experience is required. Three years previous clerical and surgery scheduling system experience is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Knowledge of medical terminology. Professional written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Typing 45-60 wpm. Ability to identify critical issues and exercise independent judgment. Demonstrated detail orientation with the ability to analyze, problem solve organize and manage multiple priorities. Excellent follow up skills a must. Proficiency in Word and Excel programs, Microsoft Office systems. Critical thinking skills.
