Job Description

Power Generation Manager I Kuwait Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have a Secret Security Clearance Manages Power Generation operations within assigned AOR. Manages a team of personnel that maintains all aspects of power generator operation including troubleshooting, repair, installation and maintenance. Executes assigned scope of work in compliance with contract requirements, safety and quality standards, equipment specifications, schedules and cost control estimates. Plans and coordinates supervision, personnel, material, and equipment needed to meet schedules and adhere to budget constraints. Ensures proper utilization of electronic work order system, equipment service and maintenance data, and related documentation requirements. Communicates project status, issues and requirements with site management and other functional leaders as appropriate. Perform duties of subordinate personnel as required. Establishes and maintains a safety culture on the project, ensuring that all personnel always adhere to company safety requirements. Ensures that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures and that work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements. May provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS). Other duties as assigned. Provide preventive maintenance and repair services by establishing monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual schedules for all prime power, diesel, gas generators, and light carts. Maintain meticulous generator maintenance logs and material for required preventive maintenance and to provide continuity between rotations of military personnel. REQUIREMENTS: Requires the technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions. Completion of a structured training program in Power Generation equipment is preferred. Typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers, and some technical schools. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred. Six (6) years to nine (9) years related experience. Requires the technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions. Completion of a structured training program in Power Generation equipment is preferred. Typical programs are provided by the U.S. military, major equipment manufacturers, and some technical schools. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION: Journeyman certified by the Electrical Generating Systems Association (EGSA) preferred Power Pro Technician Certification preferred Prior military and/or contingency experience
