This leadership role assists in overseeing fabrication workflow, yard organization, safety compliance, and production efficiency. Position Summary The Assistant Production Yard Manager works closely with the Production Yard Manager to coordinate yard operations, supervise team members, maintain safety standards, and ensure production goals are met on time and within quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and hands-on production experience. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in supervising daily production yard operations Coordinate workflow and job assignments Monitor productivity and quality standards Ensure adherence to safety policies and OSHA requirements Support training of welders and production staff Maintain yard organization and material staging Track inventory of materials and supplies Assist in equipment oversight and maintenance coordination Address production issues and escalate when necessary Promote teamwork and accountability Qualifications3+ years experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial production Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes strongly preferred Ability to read blueprints and production schedules Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work in an outdoor yard environment Forklift experience preferred High school diploma or GED required Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, lift, and move materials throughout shift Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience) Overtime opportunities Paid time off Growth and advancement opportunities Stable, team-oriented work environment Why Join Carports Anywhere?Growing company with advancement potential Hands-on leadership opportunity Supportive team culture Opportunity to help shape production efficiency and training programs Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour At Carports Anywhere, our dedication to customer satisfaction is unwavering.
