Lead Network Systems Developer

Job Description We are seeking a Lead Network Systems Developer to join our dynamic team focused on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Backbone Network Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the design, deployment, and operation of a vast global Oracle cloud computing environment. Your expertise in networking at the protocol level, combined with your programming proficiency, will be essential in supporting the automation demands of our production environment. This position involves working with a global network that encompasses hundreds of thousands of devices supporting millions of servers, interconnected through dedicated backbone infrastructure and the Internet. Preferred Skills: Extensive experience in global routing, backbone, and edge networking. Robust automation and network troubleshooting skills. Experience with service provider or cloud-scale physical networking. Excellent documentation and process design abilities. Responsibilities In this role, you will lead network lifecycle management programs by setting high-level objectives and delivery procedures. Organize technical milestones and related tasks, potentially serving as the technical lead for a small team of engineers. You will collaborate with project managers and leaders to ensure alignment and progress. Key responsibilities include: Managing complex projects, including defining requirements and specifications. Decomposing high-level architectures into detailed designs. Developing network solutions with multiple modules and intricate interactions. Ensuring solutions are effectively supported by monitoring and automation systems. Providing advanced support for large-scale network events and driving systematic resolution of complex issues. Leading root cause analysis efforts as a subject matter expert. Automating sophisticated tasks through scripting. Guiding and mentoring junior team members in technical skills development. Collaborating with vendors and contributing to the development of RFQs/RFPs. Participating in the adoption of new vendor hardware. Engaging in proactive communication with product and networking leadership to identify solutions and address service requirements. Range and Benefit Information: The US hiring range for this role is from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum, which may include eligibility for bonuses, equity, and compensation deferral.
