Are you ready to dream bigger with us? ROLE SUMMARY: The Payroll Systems Administrator must be detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset. This role focuses on the technology, configuration, data integrity, and process analysis required for accurate and timely payroll outcomes. Instead of day-to-day payroll processing, you'll contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our payroll systems. The Payroll Systems Administrator works closely with vendors, People Business Partners, and Payroll Managers to ensure systems are configured correctly and compliant. This role requires a tech-savvy, process-driven individual who continuously seeks improvement while maintaining legal and collective bargaining agreement (CBA) compliance. You will collaborate with the Sr. Payroll Systems Manager to support various system initiatives. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the configuration, administration, and optimization of enterprise payroll and timekeeping systems (SAP, Workday, Dayforce, Kronos, etc.) Lead requirements gathering, system design, and solution architecture for payroll technology changes Translate business, HR, finance, and labor requirements into technical system specifications and serve as the subject matter expert for complex payroll technology issues Manage incoming configuration requests and collaborate with vendors to achieve desired results Work with IT Support to maintain the timekeeping system interface feeds Participate in process improvement or project teams to identify and resolve process issues through automation tools development Meet regular deadlines including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules Conduct special analyses to improve business or financial performance Prepare and present reports illustrating analysis results and recommended actions Handle complex transactional responsibilities within the assigned area, including data and account analysis and variance reporting Be flexible to meet critical deadlines; this may include extended hours and holiday support JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration 3+ years of experience in Payroll Systems, HRIS, or Workforce Technology, with a proven track record in system configuration and enhancements 2+ years of experience managing complex problems A commitment to continuously improving processes and services Exceptional customer service skills Ability to understand employment contracts and manage critical deadlines Basic programming understanding Flexible work habits to adapt to critical work demands Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially advanced Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills Experience with systems such as SAP, Dayforce, Workday, and Kronos is preferred This position requires a full-time, on-site presence five (5) days per week at our St. Louis, MO location.
