SUMMARY As an integral member of the accounting and finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst position is responsible for various loan, deposit, and other reporting to Senior Management. This individual must have loan accounting experience and must have a strong working knowledge of Excel to provide analytics on these portfolios. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Drive automation and process improvement initiatives by transitioning legacy Excel-based reports into advanced data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), enhancing reporting efficiency, governance, and executive decision-making capabilities. Support the preparation, analysis, and distribution of internal management reports, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards. Draft and refine financial performance commentary for executive reporting packages, translating complex financial results into clear, concise narratives highlighting key drivers, risks, and trends. Perform in-depth loan portfolio analytics, including performance monitoring, delinquency trends, credit concentration analysis, and emerging risk identification. Develop, maintain, and enhance loan and deposit forecasting models to support budgeting, capital planning, liquidity management, and stress testing initiatives. Lead the preparation and analysis of Bank-wide loan and deposit reporting, including Deposit Change, Deposit Trend, Deposit Ranking, and portfolio segmentation analysis, delivering actionable insights to Senior Management. Own the quarterly incentive reporting process for executive and line management, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with strategic performance objectives. Partner with the CFO, CCO, and senior leadership to produce historical and forward-looking loan analytics, providing insight into portfolio growth, yield trends, credit quality, and strategic positioning. Identify balance sheet trends, concentration risks, and profitability drivers within loan and deposit portfolios, providing data-driven recommendations to improve performance and risk mitigation. Lead preparation and analysis of ALCO reporting, delivering insights on liquidity positioning, interest rate risk exposure, funding trends, capital adequacy, and balance sheet optimization. Prepare and present ALM/IRR analyses to management, articulating the impact of rate scenarios on earnings, capital, and economic value. Communicate complex financial findings to senior leadership through formal presentations and executive-ready written materials. Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives and ad-hoc executive requests, including scenario modeling, profitability analysis, and performance benchmarking. Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to this position and its job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA. Additional duties assigned as it relates to the position. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS in Finance, Business or related field required. 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably within the banking. Expert knowledge and skills in all aspects of Microsoft Excel (Tables, Power Query, and complex calculations, etc.). Highly developed attention to detail. Well-versed in Generally Applied Accounting Principles (GAAP), Accounting Standards Codification (ASC), and Financial Accounting Standards (FAS). An analytical, working understanding of loan and bond accounting. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple departments, individuals, and variables. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various business lines.
