We’re seeking a Seasonal, Full-Time Horticulture Laborer who not only enjoys working outdoors, but also has experience and knowledge of annual plants. In this role, you will assist with planting and caring for all living plants to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment for guests, Community Members and team members. Job Overview: Assist with planting and caring for all living plants to provide an aesthetically pleasing environment for guests, Community Members and team members. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM Create Your Path: The Work You’ll Do:Assists in the maintenance of gardens including pruning, dead-heading, mulching, weeding and watering. Operates small equipment to maintain landscape. Assists Horticulture team members with various projects related to function. Occasional tasks: Cleaning greenhouses, organizing and washing greenhouse supplies. Provides traffic control during special events. Required Experience:Ability to operate hand and power equipment. Valid Class D driver’s license required with a good driving record. Ability to safely operate a full-size truck with a water tank. Ability to safely drive and operate a Gator UTV. Inside (sheltered) work. - Percent of Time: 20% Outside (unsheltered) work - Percent of Time: 80% On feet or standing - Percent of Time: 90% Exposed to hazards (temperature extremes, fumes, odors, noise, etc.) - Percent of Time: 75% - As related to climate conditions. May work in sub-zero conditions in winter or excessive heat in the summer in a non-climate controlled environment Lifting (% of time) - Percent of Time: 10% - Maximum Weight in LBS: 50 Ability to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds of force constantly in order to lift and move product. Ability to balance, reach and grasp with climbing on a step stool and/or ladder.
