AI Platform Engineer with GCP

Akkodis is seeking an AI Platform Engineer with GCP for a Contract with a client in Hartford, CT. This role requires strong GCP expertise to design LLMbased autonomous agents and build scalable cloudnative platforms supporting endtoend AI workflows. Rate Range: $64/hour to $ 68 /hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. AI Platform Engineer with GCP job responsibilities include: Design, build, and optimize LLMbased autonomous agents to support reasoning, planning, and endtoend task execution. Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to architect and implement AI agentic solutions that automate business workflows. Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models-including supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and generative AI approaches. Architect and manage secure, scalable, and reliable GCP cloud infrastructures using services such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, BigQuery, and Cloud Storage. Build InfrastructureasCode (IaC) using Terraform and implement CI/CD pipelines through Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab. Automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and operational processes while ensuring strong security, networking, IAM, and SRE best practices. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's in computer science, Data/AI Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience). 6-10 years overall in cloud/ML platform engineering with strong handson GCP experience; 2-3+ years working with LLMs/agentic solutions preferred. Proven expertise designing and operating GCP architectures (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, VPC) with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD (Cloud Build/Jenkins/GitHub Actions). Demonstrated experience building and deploying ML/GenAI solutions (Vertex AI, Python/FastAPI, LLMs & agent frameworks such as LangChain/AutoGen/CrewAI) with strong security/SRE practices (IAM, KMS, SLIs/SLOs, monitoring).
