Registered Nurse - Cath Lab - 40 hours - Days

5/8hr shifts This is an on-call position where the response time is 45 minutes maz GENERAL SUMMARY Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. Acts as a patient advocate while utilizing the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs. UNIT DESCRIPTION: Taking care of patients that need heart catheterizations and also electrophysiology patients throughout the procedure. The RN will be an intraprocedural RN, mixing drips, and giving sedation. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. 3-5 years of nursing experience Experience in ICU, ER or critical care Cardiac ICU experience preferred or cardiac in general CVICU preferred Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital Department: HFWB Cath Lab Shift: Day Job Union Code: Not Applicable
