Production Technician

Job Title : Production Technician Location : Seneca, SC Pay range: $19to $22/hr Duration : 6 to 12 months 100% onsite This position supports the Production Department by performing the cleaning, pre-weigh, and compounding functions, in accordance with written and verbal procedures. Responsible for maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of the work area with respect to department standards, policies and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's) while providing support to all Production areas as needed including mechanical/facility support functions. Knowledge and Experience: This is an entry level position, which has no specific knowledge or training requirements. Position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. 6 - 12 months experience working in a production environment and mechanical dexterity is helpful but not required. Basic computer navigation skills required. Principal Responsibilities: Participate in all site safety programs. Perform Pre-weigh activities. Assist other technicians with production of finished products in accordance with cGMP and Manufacturing Instructions. Perform packaging of products. Perform assembly, disassembly and cleaning of process equipment. Perform cleaning of production areas. Remove and compact production refuse. Clean and sanitize product containers. Perform Calibration activities. Support production department as required and assigned. Work environment: Frequent interaction with all department personnel (including more experienced technicians, coordinator, supervisor and administrators) for decision making and receiving of assignments. This position reports to the Production Supervisor, with functional reporting to the Team Leaders. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and be fully mobile with the ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs. The employee will be required to wear safety glasses, shoes, gowning and respirator as required while also using ladders and stairs.
