Job Summary and Qualifications Under the guidance of a licensed respiratory care practitioner, the Respiratory Therapy Technician will deliver noninvasive respiratory therapies to patients without artificial airways as directed by physicians. Additionally, you will conduct noninvasive diagnostic procedures to assess therapy needs and responses under supervision. General Responsibilities: Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments. Follow established departmental protocols for high-risk and high-volume treatments. Respond to emergency codes and manage airways and external compressions under supervision. Adhere to hospital and departmental infection control standards. Consult with the Charge Therapist when unsure about a procedure. Document relevant patient information accurately in medical records. Maintain up-to-date departmental records. Prepare charges for services performed during shifts. Provide accurate shift reports to incoming teams. Conduct noninvasive diagnostic tests including bedside spirometry and vital capacity measurements. Monitor pulse oximetry levels. Perform ECGs as ordered. Administer and oversee continuous oxygen therapy. Ensure timely setup of new oxygen services. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment. High School Graduate or GED required.
