Business Analyst Technology Migration Austin, TX Onsite 6 month contract System migrations sound simple on a slide. In reality? They're about data integrity, business continuity, and making sure what worked yesterday still works tomorrow without surprises. We're looking for a Business Analyst who knows how to lead through that complexity. This role sits right at the intersection of business and technology. You'll work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to define scope, map data, translate business rules into clear technical specifications, and validate that everything moves from legacy to new systems without disrupting operations. This isn't a note taking role. It's hands on analysis. Data mapping. Gap identification. UAT leadership. Real ownership. Must haves • 7+ years of experience gathering requirements and testing web based applications • 5+ years performing data analysis using SQL • Experience creating UI mockups • Experience developing requirement traceability matrices • Experience writing detailed test cases and test scripts • Experience testing batch jobs and web services • Strong experience documenting As Is and To Be processes • Ability to conduct gap analysis and recommend data cleansing or process adjustments Nice to have • Experience working in Agile environments You'll document current state workflows, define future state processes, analyze legacy data structures, map source to target systems, and ensure business rules are correctly translated. You'll define test scenarios, lead UAT, validate migrated data, and ensure functionality aligns with expectations. You'll also facilitate workshops, manage risks, communicate progress, and help business users adapt to the new environment through clear documentation and training materials.
