Job Title: Pharmacy TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Floor Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.Responsibilities Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist. Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure. Prepack frequently ordered medications, label and store as needed during low volume times. Package materials and products manually. Pull and pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas and prepack racks. Apply labels to blister cards and then scan products for accuracy checks. Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly. Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed. Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected. Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Possess and maintain a clear and active CT Pharmacy Technician License issued by the CT Board of Pharmacy. Ability to work at a moderate speed. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Work EnvironmentThe role may require sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently during the day. The technician may sit or stand for seven to ten hours per day and work extended hours if needed. Finger dexterity is required to operate office equipment, and the role may involve lifting up to twenty-five pounds occasionally. Visual acuity is necessary to see and read fine print, with specific vision abilities including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The technician must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The described work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Berlin, CT.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
