VP of Operations - Heavy Civil Construction

We are a self-performing heavy civil contractor specializing in: Underground Utilities Milling & Asphalt Concrete Earthwork & Grading We operate across commercial, municipal, and federal markets. We build it ourselves. We stand behind it. And we're positioned for continued growth. The Opportunity This role reports directly to the President. You'll oversee Directors, Production Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field leadership across all divisions. This is operational command. You will: Set operational strategy across all heavy civil disciplines Own execution performance, safety culture, and profitability Drive production rates, labor productivity, and equipment utilization Strengthen field-to-office alignment Lead resource planning and scaling for growth Develop and mentor the next generation of operations leadership Monitor P&L performance and operational budgets Represent the company with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders What We're Looking For 10+ years of progressive leadership in heavy civil construction Proven success managing large-scale, self-performing operations Strong P&L ownership and financial discipline Deep understanding of heavy civil methods, equipment, and safety Strategic thinker who can also execute Leader who builds accountability and develops talent Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related experience required.
