Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Providence, RI.Duties: Payroll Specialist will process day-to-day payroll activities and payroll-related tasks with accuracy and timeliness Support general administrative functions related to payroll and time tracking Complete new hire setup in an Oracle-based payroll system Monitor and manage the payroll email inbox to ensure timely processing of employee payroll changes Process payroll for both union and non-union employee populations Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, tax forms, and payroll schedules As a Payroll Specialist, you will support the processing and maintenance of payroll documentation, including W-4s, I-9s, and benefit deduction forms Assist with the preparation and distribution of payroll reports, registers, and summaries for management and finance teams Ensure payroll data integrity and confidentiality at all times Skills Previous experience in payroll processing or a related administrative role Working knowledge of payroll systems (Oracle experience preferred) Familiarity with payroll documentation, tax forms, and benefit deductions Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
