Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a dedicated Respiratory Therapist. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care under physician orders, including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, advanced airway management, arterial puncture and analysis, ECGs, and mechanical ventilation for adult and geriatric patients. You will plan, implement, and assess therapy effectiveness while collaborating closely with providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient-centered care. Education Applicants must hold an Associate degree from a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program. Experience A minimum of two years of directly related experience in an acute care setting is required. Licenses and Certifications Current, unrestricted respiratory care practitioner license for the state of Washington. National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required at hire; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required within one year. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within six months of hire. Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of respiratory care theories and clinical skills, including safe operation of respiratory equipment. Ability to assess patient needs and responses to treatment across all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations. Experience with home respiratory therapy equipment and medication administration. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and patients. Proficiency in technology, including electronic medical records and Microsoft Office. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate problem-solving skills. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent lifting and carrying of weights up to 35 lbs, standing, walking, bending, and occasional exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Vision, hearing, and speech must be within normal range with or without corrective devices. Work schedule consists of 0.9 FTE with 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, including a $5,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.
