TVS is looking for a talented and experienced Project Manager/Project Architect with 8+ years of experience and specific experience in performing arts center/theater design to join our practice in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you should be able to perform in a self-directed manner in all facets of the building design process, including preparation of presentations; development of schematic design, design development, and contract documents; model building; rendering; and construction administration, while adhering to budgets, timelines, schedules, and other project requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop concepts based on given criteria; use feedback to modify designs Work collaboratively with other team members as to best approach Work on high-level tasks and deliverables for multiple projects simultaneously Produce sets of production documents in both design development and construction documentation phases Increase required technical and functional skills in related technologies, which may include: drafting/modeling/rendering software (Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Sketchup, AutoCAD, automation or AI platforms, or other programs); graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign); office software (Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, and Outlook); and other programs relevant to the profession including Bluebeam Revu, Workday, and others Act as a project manager for small- and medium-size projects and teams and/or manage components of larger projects and teams Develop relationships and interact with clients Communicate with client agents, subcontractors, and consultants Participate in professional development activities and initiatives, both inside and outside the firm Build and maintain a network of connections within the industry; attend events central to the firm's strengths and goals Mentor and develop team members Any other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Hold a professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited architecture program (BARCH or MARCH) 8+ years of experience in a professional architecture environment, experience in the design and detailing of performing arts centers and theater facilities is desired Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, additional proficiency in Rhino, Sketchup, Enscape, AutoCAD, or other 3D modeling and rendering programs is desirable Knowledge of project management, materials and systems, project design and detailing, and preparation of drawings and specifications from schematic design through construction documents Experienced in all phases and aspects of conventional architecture and projects, specifically performing arts center and theater design Effective verbal and written communication skills Able to work in a collaborative, professional manner Able to problem solve with attention to detail and a desire to learn Able to work independently with little supervision Able to provide feedback to team members through verbal conversations, annual performance reviews, and direct project feedback and redlines LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, & ACCREDITATION: REQUIRED: Must be an NCARB-certified, licensed architect (an active NCARB council record is not required, and you must maintain an active architectural license in good standing in one or more states or territories under NCARB jurisdiction) OPTIONAL: LEED Green Associate or Specialty accreditation OPTIONAL: Active NCARB record OPTIONAL: Active AIA membership If interested, qualified candidates should submit a resume and work samples or portfolio (no larger than 6 MB) through our careers website.
