CNC Machinist - $19 an hour11pm - 7amEldridge, IowaOverviewWe are seeking skilled and motivated CNC Machinists to join our 3rd shift team. Our company specializes in precision‑engineered weapons, components, and modular weapon systems used by military, law enforcement, and government agencies worldwide. With exciting international projects underway, we are expanding and looking for long‑term team members who want to grow with us.Responsibilities Operate and adjust CNC mills and lathes to perform standard, repetitive machining operations Run parts using programs and setups prepared by others Use precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and height stands Hold tolerances down to .001” on both mill and lathe equipment Perform machine and tooling setups as needed Essential Skills Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools Basic understanding of machining processes: milling and turning (horizontal & vertical) Competence with precision measuring devices Ability to measure accurately to .001” Capability to run CNC lathe and mill setups Preferred Skills & Qualifications Ability to learn and adjust tool offsets to correct feature discrepancies Basic understanding of cutting tools, including when to identify tool wear or perform tool changes Willingness to learn M‑ and G‑code programming Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills Experience reading blueprints and inspecting parts for conformance Broad machining knowledge, including experience with Brother and Okuma machines Familiarity with G‑codes, M‑codes, and general CNC operations Why You’ll Love Working Here Clean, modern, well‑lit facility located in Eldridge Small, family‑like environment where you’re more than just a number Excellent health benefits with premiums below the national average 401(k) match upon direct hire Paid time off—earn additional days with tenure Employee discounts on firearms and company apparel $3.00/hour shift differential for 3rd shift Work EnvironmentYou’ll work in a clean and updated machining facility with modern equipment and supportive teammates.
