Reviews material certifications to ensure testing and metallurgical properties are within specification. Oversees receipt inspection, material over-inspection, and production processes. Resolves technical problems as required. Maintains material and product traceability databases. Maintains specifications compliance databases. Performs reviews of contract modifications and proves cost estimates for bid and proposal work. Develops, maintains, and complies with Operation Procedures, Quality Work Instructions, and unit specific user instructions. Leads internal/external audits to confirm technical, quality and regulatory compliance to requirements. Serve as UPRR representative for customer audits of UPRR. Prepares audit plans through detailed analysis of previous issues, current performance, and requirements. Initiates and reviews Corrective Actions ensuring audit findings are resolved completely. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree in applicable field. Must posses at least (10) years of relevant experience. Must possess proven ability in using Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Must have demonstrable time management skills. Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities is required. Previous six sigma/lead experience is a plus. Pay: $$86,000 - $$136,000The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $$86,000 and $$136,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
