Your role will include greeting and seating guests, managing the dining room environment, and acting as a goodwill ambassador to create an exceptional dining experience. Key Responsibilities: Master the responsibilities of the Host/Hostess position Anticipate the needs of special parties Communicate effectively with service and bus staff regarding seating requirements Complete assigned side work diligently Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's computer register system Execute comp and void procedures on the register accurately Ensure server and busser side work is completed as per requirements Train and guide host staff on established operating procedures Assign service staff to their workstations as needed Qualifications: Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maitre D' or in a similar full-service restaurant role Strong mathematical skills required Must pass an exam in English with 90% or better in key areas: menu and specials, wine list, liquor list and specialty drinks, liquor liability laws, and restaurant layout Successful candidates should: Be punctual and reliable Exude warmth and a welcoming personality Engage with guests with a good sense of humor Act with maturity and professionalism as a goodwill ambassador Remember guest details to enhance their experience Align with the restaurant's established image and values Handle difficult situations with patience and courtesy Be prepared to stand for long periods while on duty Navigate safely through a busy restaurant environment Manage large sums of money effectively Assist with seating arrangements as needed Be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays We are an equal opportunity employer.
