In this role you will be: Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., chest, skeletal, fluoroscopy) in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Properly position patients and adjust equipment settings to obtain optimal images. Ensure radiation safety by using protective measures and adhering to ALARA principles. Verify patient identification and procedure orders before performing exams. Operate and maintain radiographic equipment; report malfunctions or needed repairs. Upload and review images in PACS, ensuring they meet quality standards for interpretation. Follow proper protocols for image storage, labeling, and documentation. Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure accurate, timely exams. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients to explain procedures and ensure comfort. Assist during emergency or portable imaging procedures as needed. Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times. Maintain accurate records and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory and hospital standards. Stay current with continuing education, licensure, and certification requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Required: EDUCATION: Associate’s degree or higher of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. EXPERIENCE: 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred.
