CNC Machinist

Searching for CNC Machinists in Beaverton! Job Description - Set-up & run vertical mills for low/high-volume production items. Job Responsibilities - Set-up and operation of mill parts with varying complexity and precision - Program edits as needed (at machine) - Suggest modifications to program/setup to increase tool life, limit waste and improve part quality - First article & intermittent inspection of parts to prints - Fixture development and implementation - Deburr/finish parts off the machine(s) as needed - Training and technical lead for less experienced machine operators Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Haves: CNC Mill Inspecting Parts Set Ups Read blueprints and schematics - Experience setting up / running a 3-axis horizontal CNC Mill - Excellent blue print reading skills / knowledgeable about GD&T - Experience with standard inspection equipment (calipers, mics, etc.) - Experience machining metals (stainless, mild/hardened steels, aluminum) PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: - Works effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision - Reliable and punctual (Attendance is critical) - Enjoys fast pace work environment (able to change priorities easily and transition well from job to job) - Professional demeanor and respectful attitude towards colleagues in all situations - Flexible and willing to help others as needs to meet production demands - Team player Schedule: Currently working Monday - Thursday 5am - 3:30pm (overtime on Fridays as needed) - Machines: Hurco VM1/VM2 Hass DM2, ST10, VF2ss, VF4ss, VF5xt Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Beaverton, OR.
