Position Type: Speech Language Pathologist/Speech & Language Pathologist Date Posted: 2/28/2026 Location: Montgomery County Intermediate Unit #23 Closing Date: 03/13/2026 Several vacancies exist for Long-Term Substitute Speech & Language Pathologists to work for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in the Office of Early Childhood Services. These positions provide Early Intervention preschool education services to children ages 3-5 years old. Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech & Language Pathology. Valid PA certification as a School Speech and Language Pathologist Valid PA licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure Experience with delivering speech services to children is preferred. Current Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required. Duties & Responsibilities: Provide direct service to students who present a variety of speech and language disorders in classrooms, homes, and/or educational sites. Evaluate students in the areas of speech and language as needed. Consult with parents and other professionals regarding speech and language. Write IEP's and re-evaluation reports. Participate in IEP meetings. Location: The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and services children throughout Montgomery County, PA. Our Early Intervention Program is split along school district lines into four (4) regions within Montgomery County. Rydal, PA 19046) Northern Region (Hatboro-Horsham, North Penn, Souderton and Upper Perkiomen School Districts) Western Region (Methacton, Perkiomen Valley, Pottsgrove, Pottstown and Spring-Ford School Districts) Eastern Region (Abington, Bryn Athyn, Cheltenham, Colonial, Jenkintown, Lower Merion, Lower Moreland and Springfield School Districts) Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12-months (194 days/year). Salary 2025-2026: Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
