Board Level Validation Engineer

Job ID: 21-12109 Quality Engineering Strategy and Planning - Description of Needed Services: We seek contractors with skills to cover these three main areas, all under the umbrella of board bring-up & validation: A. "Smoke test" of new boards, prior to internal distribution B. Design verification C. Board testing for volume distributions ("MTE") General Description: 1. "Smoke test" of new boards, prior to internal distribution: a. Opens/shorts b. Power rails, current draw c. Measurement of basic life of subsystems using test code provided by FW team d. Documentation of passed/failed boards e. Programming images before distribution, targeted to customers as needed 2. Design verification: a. Measuring signal integrity of high speed lines: i. Probing of high-speed lines, on the board itself ii. Measuring signal integrity: looking at signal rise and fall times, ringing, over-shoot, under-shoot. iii. Using oscilloscopes, signal integrity analyzers, possibly protocol analyzers iv. Direct probing of the boards, compensation for scope probe paras Primary Skill Test Automation Strategy
