Join Our Team as a Furniture Assembly Specialist! Are you a white-glove wizard who turns furniture assembly into an art form? Liberty Moving and Storage isn't just about local and interstate moves-we're deeply rooted in office furniture installation project management. From stunning glass office fronts to state-of-the-art FF&E, school setups, and lab & hospital furnishings, we're involved in major projects across NYC and the tri-state area. With our hubs in Commack, NY and Wayne, NJ, we're looking for a hands-on expert who takes pride in doing the job right-every time. What You'll Be Doing: Assembly & Installation: Assemble, disassemble, reconfigure, and install a wide range of office furniture-from tables and chairs to sofas, dressers, and wall units. Manufacturer Mastery: Work across multiple manufacturer lines (Steelcase, Herman Miller, Allsteel, etc.). Office Fronts: Assist with installation and repair of glass office fronts and dividers. Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts and help maintain accurate furniture inventory. Warehouse Logistics: Unload, stage, and prep furniture with care and attention to detail. General Service Tasks: Support basic site cleanup, trash removal, and project wrap-ups. What We're Looking For: Experience: Minimum of 5 years in furniture assembly and installation (white glove preferred). Tool Confidence: You should be skilled and safe with common hand and power tools. Physical Ability: This is a physically demanding role-expect regular lifting, bending, and standing. (Skip the gym. You won't need it.) Work Ethic: Strong attention to detail and a no-nonsense, get-it-done mentality. Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with warehouse staff, project managers, and installers. Flexibility: Standard schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:00pm, but occasional evenings or weekends may be required. Bonus Points: Ability to drive a non-CDL box truck is a major plus!
