Randstad's client in Hauppauge is seeking a safety-first CDL B Driver with a Hazmat Endorsement to handle critical deliveries throughout the Tri-State area. This is a local route position-you'll be navigating the region's major corridors but sleeping in your own bed every night. License: Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Endorsements: Hazmat (H) is mandatory. Tanker (N) endorsement is a major plus. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable CDL B driving experience, preferably in the Tri-State region. Driving Record: Clean MVR with no major violations in the last 3 years. Compliance: Must have a current DOT Medical Card and be able to pass a background check and drug screen. salary: $50,000 - $55,000 per year shift: First work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM education: High School Responsibilities Safe Transportation: Operate a Class B vehicle (Box Truck or Tanker) to transport hazardous materials across NY, NJ, and CT. Compliance & Paperwork: Ensure all manifests, shipping papers, and placards are 100% accurate and compliant with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Pre/Post Trip Inspections: Perform rigorous vehicle safety checks and log all maintenance or safety concerns immediately. Loading/Unloading: Safely handle specialized freight, ensuring proper blocking, bracing, and segregation of materials. Customer Service: Act as a professional point of contact at delivery sites, ensuring efficient and polite service.
