They are onboarded and paid by the City of Oak Forest Police Department. Description: Must be 18 years or older Hold a high school diploma or GED equivalent Assist in safe crossing children and families across key District 142 intersections Monday through Friday schedule except for school holidays and/or non-attendance days Morning (before school) and afternoon (after school) crossing times, with some mid-day crossings for early dismissal days Pay is calculated by number of crossing shifts each day, tracked via time sheets
