The Safety & Fleet Coordinator is responsible for serving as the company's safety officer, providing strong on-site leadership and oversight of safety programs for field and property-based teams. This role will ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards while actively promoting a proactive, safety-first culture. In addition, this role oversees fleet operations by coordinating inspections, maintenance, and compliance efforts through collaboration with internal administrative staff. Acting as a key point of connection across teams, this position plays a vital role in strengthening workplace safety, accountability, and effective asset management throughout the organization. Runs and leads the company's Safety Committee Team, overseeing administrative responsibilities and delegation to committee members as needed. Coordinates with the Learning & Development Specialist to develop, set up, and occasionally run all safety related training, including accurate record-keeping and documentation. Leads the incident and accident reporting process by acting as the first reviewer of submitted forms to check for accuracy and completeness and ensure all necessary personnel review for finalization. Serves as a point of contact for safety inquiries, coordinating with internal staff and external professional resources to ensure regulatory compliance. Serves as a first responder to jobsite emergencies and incidents, taking immediate control of the scene, coordinating emergency response actions, and ensuring the safety of personnel. Utilizes authority to enforce safety policies, lead incident investigations at any necessary locations, and stop work when unsafe conditions are identified. Conducts regular field and property inspections, jobsite audits, and safety observations to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are completed before work resumes. Oversee the compilation and maintenance of documentation for OSHA compliance, including recordkeeping (e.g., OSHA 300 logs) and audit support on an annual basis. Implements, maintains, and trains others on the company's safety programs and procedures, including but not limited to Near Miss Program, SDS, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE, Hazard Communication. Enforces and ensures that all company tools and equipment are inspected, maintained, and approved for use in accordance with company policy, manufacturer guidelines, and regulatory requirements for certified and experience personnel to use. Investigates incidents and near misses involving tools or equipment and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Enforces lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other equipment-specific safety protocols. Works with field and property leadership to ensure proper storage, transport, and securing tools, materials, and equipment on jobsites, properties, and in vehicles. Conducts scheduled and random on-site inspections of all company vehicles to ensure safety, compliance with regulations, and proper operating conditions. Supports new employee onboarding by reviewing applicable policies and ensuring company vehicles and/or equipment are appropriately assigned, clean, and ready for use at the time of issuance. Manages the delegation and completion of the following fleet administrative tasks with internal division related Assistants: vehicle assignment, maintenance, accurate & up to date records/documentation, PennDOT compliance, gas cards, hauling permits, EZ-Pass Transponders, and analyze fleet performance & replacement/retirement. RequirementsWhat we are looking for from you... Must have a valid Driver's License 5+ years' experience serving as a safety representative, trainer, investigator or related role 3+ years' experience with field/site management 15+ years' experience working in the commercial and/or residential construction industry Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field is highly preferred but not required Desired Certifications - Competent Person, CSP, ASP, CHST, OSHA 30/500/510, ISO Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, local/state safety requirements, and general workplace safety standards Experience developing and enforcing safety programs and policies Proven experience leading incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis, and conducting safety inspections Must be proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office programs including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint Experience with maintaining logs, inspection reports, and asset documentation with high accuracy
