Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Asset Manager to oversee and manage all company assets within our Sitework (SW) Operations division. This role is responsible for heavy equipment oversight, fleet management, compliance tracking, equipment logistics, rental coordination, and ensuring all assets are maintained, documented, and operating efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, process-driven, and comfortable working closely with field teams, vendors, and leadership. Key ResponsibilitiesHeavy Equipment & Asset Oversight Maintain comprehensive tracking of all company-owned heavy equipment and assets Monitor equipment utilization, condition, and maintenance schedules Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair services Maintain detailed asset records including serial numbers, titles, warranties, and service history Assist with equipment purchasing, selling, and lifecycle management Fleet Management Oversee all company vehicles (trucks, trailers, support vehicles) Ensure compliance with North Carolina vehicle inspections and registrations Track renewals, insurance documentation, permits, and tags Monitor mileage, usage, and maintenance schedules Coordinate repairs and vendor relationship Equipment Tracking & Dispatch Management Track all company-owned and rental equipment within Dispatcher Ensure real-time visibility of equipment location and jobsite assignments Monitor equipment allocation to prevent downtime and double-booking Coordinate equipment transfers between job sites Maintain accurate rental equipment records including start/end dates and cost tracking Reconcile equipment usage with project teams for accurate billing and reporting Heavy Equipment Moves & Logistics Manage and schedule heavy equipment transport between job sites Coordinate with internal teams and third-party transport providers Secure required permits for oversized loads Maintain movement logs and transport documentation Compliance & Documentation Ensure all fleet and equipment documentation is current and compliant Maintain up-to-date records for inspections, registrations, DOT requirements (if applicable), and permits Track insurance documentation and certificates Support audit requests and internal reporting Operational Support Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Teams Identify cost-saving opportunities in maintenance, fuel usage, rentals, and equipment allocation Provide asset utilization reports to leadership Assist with forecasting equipment needs for upcoming projects Qualifications 3+ years experience in asset management, fleet management, dispatch, or construction equipment oversight Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and sitework operations preferred Experience using equipment tracking or dispatch software (Dispatcher experience preferred) Understanding of North Carolina vehicle inspections, registrations, and compliance requirements Experience coordinating equipment transport and logistics Highly organized with strong administrative and tracking skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel experience strongly preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment Preferred Experience Construction, grading, or site development industry background Experience managing both owned and rental fleets Familiarity with DOT regulations and oversized load permits Job Benefits: Competitive salary based on experience Health, vision, dental, and life insurance benefits Paid vacation and holidays Opportunities for career growth and professional development Equal Employment Opportunity: We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.
